From Thailand, ドイサケット村 蘭の木（Jonas Palm）

3月のある朝早く、チェンマイ近くの山間のコーヒーで有名なテプサデット村を訪れる途中でした。道路が美しく縁どられた満開の蘭の花の木を見つけました。

これはホワイトバウヒニアという種類の蘭です。バウヒニアは世界中の熱帯地方に育ち、花束や装飾用の植物として植えられています。

1997年に香港がチャイナに返還されたとき、イラスト化されたバウヒニアと赤色の背景が香港の旗となりました。この花は香港の代表的な花で冬の間、満開になります。

One early morning in March going to visit the coffee village (Tepsadet village) in the mountains close to Chiang mai and met this wonderful framed road of orchid trees in blossom...

That is Orchid tree (White Bauhinia). The Bauhinia grow in the tropical regions of the world and are frequently planted for their showy flowers and ornamental foliage.

1997 when Hong Kong was returned to China became a stylized Bauhinia against red background Hong Kong's flag. The flower is typical of Hong Kong where the tree blooms during wintertime.
