From Thailand, ピーコックフラワー（ベニフウチョウ） (Jonas)

朝のサイクリングでこの美しい花を見つけたとき、これがカリブの島バルバドスの国花であるとは知りませんでした。

ピーコック（孔雀）フラワーという素敵な名前は、天気の良い日に動物園で孔雀が翼を広げて、カラフルな羽を見せびらかし、あまり心地の良くない声で相棒を求めているのを想像するでしょう。







この低木は3mくらいの高さになりますが、霜が少ししか、またはほとんどおりない地域ではそれよりも大きく育ち、常緑であることがあります。

花は20�pの長さの茎上にあり、それぞれに黄色、オレンジや赤の5つの花びらがついています。実は6〜12cmの長さの鞘（さや）がです。

When pass this beautiful flower on the morning bike trip you can’t imagine this flower is the national flower of the Caribbean island Barbados.
The nice name, peacock take your imagine to a sunny day in the zoo there the peacock show the colorful feathers with the not so nice sound then calls the ladies to be the partner.
It is a shrub growing to 3 m tall. In climates with little to no frosts, this plant will grow larger and is semi-evergreen. The flowers are borne in racemes up to 20 cm long, each flower with five yellow, orange or red petals. The fruit is a pod 6–12 cm long.
